A well-established technical services provider is seeking an experienced Fire Systems Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of fire alarm systems across commercial and industrial environments, from installation and commissioning through to client handovers and ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, and maintain addressable and non-addressable fire detection systems
  • Work across a range of technologies including air sampling, beam detection, and wireless systems
  • Ensure full compliance with BS5839 standards
  • Program complex cause & effect logic via laptop across multiple platforms
  • Conduct system handovers and provide on-site demonstrations to clients
  • Supervise third-party contractors on-site (requires SSSTS)
  • Maintain health and safety protocols on all projects
  • Complete electronic documentation in line with FIA/BAFE requirements
  • Support the development of junior engineers and assist with technical queries

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in fire systems installation and commissioning
  • FIA Advanced and Commissioning qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of BS5839 (all parts)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Certifications: ECS/CSCS, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness, and SSSTS
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel nationally, including overnight stays as needed
  • Ability to work independently and represent the business professionally on-site
