Senior Mechanical Consultant Engineer - Facilities Management Consultancy
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver building services consultancy across mechanical and M&E systems within operational environments
- Support clients in managing FM contractors and maintenance service delivery
- Produce designs, specifications, and oversee project delivery through to completion
- Conduct site audits, inspections, and condition surveys of plant and equipment
- Lead maintenance contract tendering processes and evaluate contractor performance
- Provide technical troubleshooting and advisory support to clients
- Ensure compliance with statutory, health and safety, and industry standards
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying additional service opportunities
- Support and mentor junior engineers within the team
- Contribute to business development and company growth initiatives
Key Requirements / Skills
- Essential
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in mechanical building services engineering
- Strong background in design, specification, and project management
- Experience working within building services or FM consultancy environments
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to carry out technical audits, surveys, and reporting
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

- Experience in hard FM maintenance contract tendering and management
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
