Water Mist CAD Design Engineer – Remote Based

I’m recruiting for a specialist fire protection company who are looking for an experienced CAD Design Engineer to focus on water mist fire suppression systems. This role is fully remote, ideal for a detail-driven designer who thrives in producing accurate, high-quality technical drawings.

The Role:

  • Develop and produce 2D CAD drawings and system schematics for water mist installations.
  • Generate layout drawings, pipework routing, and detailed fabrication/installation drawings.
  • Translate project specifications and consultant requirements into precise CAD designs.
  • Work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure drawings are accurate, compliant, and ready for site delivery.
  • Maintain drawing registers and ensure revisions are up to date.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with Revit/BIM an advantage).
  • Previous CAD design experience within water mist or fire protection systems.
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic calculations and relevant standards (e.g. BS, NFPA, LPCB).
