The Opportunity
As Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of delivering a portfolio of security installation and integration projects from initial concept through to completion. Working closely with internal sales, service, technical and commercial teams, you’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Projects vary in scale and complexity, so you’ll need to be equally comfortable leading projects independently or contributing within a wider delivery team.
Client & Sector Exposure
You’ll work across a diverse client base including high-security environments (government, CNI and utilities), policing, local authorities and commercial organisations. While you may have built your experience in one of these sectors, you’ll be confident adapting your approach across multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver multiple projects to agreed quality, cost and time objectives
- Lead and coordinate project teams within a matrix environment
- Develop and manage project scope, plans, schedules and resource requirements
- Oversee on-site installation and commissioning activities
- Manage project risks, issues and change (technical and commercial)
- Produce regular progress and performance reports for clients and senior stakeholders
- Implement recovery plans where required to maintain project performance
- Raise and manage purchase requisitions for materials and subcontract resources
- Collaborate with technical design teams to ensure accurate project delivery
- Support pre-sales and business development activities where required
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing multiple client-facing projects
- Background within security systems, telecoms, electronics or related technology sectors (preferred)
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (APM, PRINCE2, PMI or equivalent)
- Experience working with NEC3/4 or JCT contract frameworks
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and working within regulated H&S environments
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
- Confident communicator, able to engage from site level through to senior client stakeholders
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with a “can-do” attitude
- Experience mentoring or supporting the development of others
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Project and Office suite
