Client Account Manager – Fire & Security Systems

Location: Midlands

Package: Competitive Salary + Commission + Car Allowance

Are you an experienced account manager from the fire and security industry?

We’re seeking a dynamic Client Account Manager with proven expertise in fire detection, life safety, and security systems to manage key accounts, ensure compliance, and drive growth across our service portfolio.

About the Role

You will be the main point of contact for a portfolio of commercial, industrial, and public-sector clients, ensuring their fire and security systems are compliant, fully operational, and maintained to the highest standards. Your industry knowledge and customer-first mindset will help strengthen relationships, deliver exceptional service, and uncover opportunities for business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow client relationships across assigned fire and security accounts.
  • Advise on upgrades, compliance requirements (BS 5839, BS 7671), and preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Work closely with engineering and project teams to deliver first-class service.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities and prepare detailed proposals.
  • Conduct regular site visits, audits, and client review meetings.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding of new contracts and clients.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in account or client management within the fire and security industry – this is essential.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire detection systems (addressable & conventional) and a solid understanding of security systems.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and multitasking skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • FIA or equivalent fire industry training.
  • Familiarity with brands such as Gent, Hochiki, Advanced, Apollo, Kentec.
  • Comprehensive understanding of BS 5839 and other relevant UK fire safety and security standards.
