Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff (apprentices, stage hands, design team, etc.)
  • Assign sales workers to duties
  • Hire and train or arrange training of staff
  • Authorize payments by cheque
  • Order merchandise and authorize returns
  • Establish work schedules
  • Sell merchandise and prepare reports on sales, merchandising, and personnel matters
  • Resolve issues such as customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory, verify stock availability
  • Receive payments from customers; price items using stamp or stickers
  • Perform routine maintenance work and order supplies
  • Organise day‑to‑day business operations and manage difficult situations with customers
  • Maintain inventory of equipment, deposit cash, and balance and record sales
  • Manage staff and assign duties
  • Determine purchase quantity and type of merchandise
  • Provide customer service and coordinate special publicity events and promotions
  • Prepare daily reports of fuel, oil, and accessory sales, reconcile physical inventories with computer counts
  • Accept cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit payment

Qualifications:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role
  • Computer & technology knowledge: Inventory control software
  • Transportation requirement: Valid driver’s licence
  • Languages: English
