This is a strong opportunity for a commercially driven sales account manager who wants to seek new and grow established customer relationships and make a visible impact. You will develop new business relationships, with the intent for you to take ownership of a small portfolio of existing accounts; helping customers get more value from their technology investment, while driving account growth across a broad solutions portfolio.

Role Summary

Centerprise is looking for a Private Sector Account Manager to seek new business and manage and grow existing business across private sector organisations, education institutions and housing associations. You will focus on developing new relationships and strengthening customer relationships, re‑engaging underused accounts and identifying opportunities to expand the services and solutions delivered to each organisation.

What you’ll do

  • Seek out new customers to join the Private Sector customer portfolio
  • Expand and develop contact points within the client
  • Explore opportunities to sell a broad range of services
  • Manage a small portfolio of existing customer accounts across the private sector, education and housing sectors
  • Develop structured account plans to increase revenue and broaden service adoption over time
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships into additional services and solutions
  • Re‑engage dormant or underdeveloped accounts and build them back into active customer relationships
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including IT leaders, operational leaders and procurement teams
  • Hold regular customer meetings to understand business priorities, technology plans and future requirements
  • Position solutions that support infrastructure, resilience and digital transformation goals
  • Build wider, multi‑level relationships within customer organisations
  • Introduce customers to relevant solutions across the wider Centerprise portfolio
  • Expand accounts beyond initial purchases into managed services, cloud, infrastructure, resilience and specialist environments
  • Diversify customer spend across multiple technology areas
  • Increase adoption of the wider technology portfolio over time

Commercial management

  • Produce proposals, quotations and commercial documentation
  • Manage renewals, contract discussions and procurement activity
  • Ensure opportunities support margin and commercial objectives
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management and opportunity tracking in Dynamics CRM
  • Work closely with internal technical teams and vendor partners to shape customer solutions
  • Support account growth through marketing campaigns and vendor initiatives
  • Share customer insight and opportunity intelligence across the wider sales team

What you’ll bring

Core experience
  • Proven experience in a B2B account management or sales role
  • A track record of growing revenue within existing customer accounts
  • Experience managing customer relationships and identifying expansion opportunities
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and opportunities at the same time
  • Strong presentation, proposal development and commercial management skills
Technical capability
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, managed services or technology solution sales
  • Familiarity with managed services and infrastructure environments
  • Awareness of business continuity solutions, including BaaS, DRaaS and Microsoft 365 Backup
  • Ability to understand customer environments and position appropriate solutions
  • Competence in Microsoft 365, CRM platforms and modern sales tools
