We’re looking for a motivated and organised People Apprentice to join our People Team and develop a strong foundation for a future career in HR. In this role, you’ll support a wide range of people processes, including recruitment activities, onboarding, maintaining employee records, payroll coordination and responding to basic people queries, while working towards a recognised qualification. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn best practice, and build confidence in employment legislation and HR operations. Key responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate employee records, update HR systems, and support payroll processes
  • Assist with recruitment tasks, including scheduling interviews and coordinating onboarding
  • Respond to first-line colleague queries and escalate more complex issues when needed
  • Support people-related projects to improve processes, systems and colleague experience
  • Help apply best practice across the People Team, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
  • Provide support for Talent initiatives such as performance management processes, training coordination and engagement activities
  • Contribute to reporting and analytics by helping monitor key people metrics and trends
  • Shadow and support People Advisors and Talent Advisors to gain exposure to advisory and strategic people activities

Please note that to apply for a role with us, you must be able to reliably commute to Center Parcs Woburn Forest, as it is not easily accessible by public transport.

Hours of work

This is a full-time position with working patterns designed to support both our operational needs and your work-life balance. Our team typically collaborates during core hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

  • Some previous office or administrative experience (can include work experience, volunteering, or school projects)
  • Basic understanding of HR processes and policies
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Desirable requirements:
  • Previous experience in HR or people services
