You'll be assigned to the Center Parcs village closest to your home address, where you'll work 4 days per week, with 1 day working from home. Join our team and play a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. This is a specialist role with a strong focus on developing, reviewing and managing health and safety risk assessments across the business. The majority of the role will involve detailed risk assessment work, often involving large volumes of documentation, competing priorities and periods of intensive, repetitive activity requiring a high level of accuracy and self-management.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing their own workload and maintaining attention to detail during sustained periods of risk assessment review and development.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop, review and maintain health and safety risk assessments and safe systems of work across multiple business areas.
  • Provide company wide advice based on specialist risk assessment processes, ensuring consistency, quality and compliance.
  • Managing significant volumes of risk assessment activity and documentation, often within demanding timescales.
  • Conducting specific risk assessment audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting and advising operational teams on health and safety best practice where this is identified by risk assessment review.
  • Delivering guidance and supporting training to key stakeholders across the business.
  • Collaborating with Head Office and site teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Identifying and escalating health and safety risks within operation and adherence to the risk assessments.
  • Undertaking site visits where required to assess new activities and provide guidance to operational teams based on risk assessment review.

Your working hours:

Full-time, Monday to Friday. You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum of 160 over a 4-week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements. This role includes occasional travel to other villages in the UK and Ireland, typically once every quarter.

About you:

  • Effective use of PC based learning systems.
  • Willing to complete internal risk assessment training.
  • Risk assessment and safety audit experience with strong attention to detail.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or willingness to complete the qualification.
  • NEBOSH certificate / diploma or willingness to complete the qualification.
  • The ability to prioritise and organise workload with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to create and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to inspire confidence and establish credibility.
  • Ability to maintain focus and self-motivation during periods of intense, repetitive workloads with minimal supervision.
