This is an exciting opportunity to join us as Financial Accountant. You will provide support to the Group Tax and Financial Accountant in respect of technical accounting, the preparation of statutory financial statements, cashflow budgeting and forecasting, preparing and reviewing controls. The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified, working towards or equivalent with a broad understanding of UK VAT.
What you will be doing:
- Preparation of the Group's subsidiary and holding company financial statements.
- Responsible for preparing period-end financial statements, including balance sheets and cash flow statements for Center Parcs Ireland Limited, as well as consolidated balance sheets, cash flow statements, and covenant calculations for the Center Parcs (Holdings 1) Limited Group.
- Assist the Group Tax and Financial Accountant with the preparation of technical accounting papers.
- Obtain appropriate audit evidence and prepare supporting schedules to resolve any queries raised by internal or external financial auditors.
- Complete the VAT returns on the required timetables for Center Parcs Ireland Limited, CPUK6 Limited and the UK Group.
What you will need:
- ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent.
- The ability to produce work with a high degree of accuracy.
- A broad understanding of UK VAT and Corporation tax.
- Preparation of financial statements.
- Experience of external financial audits.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute within a supportive team environment.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, dynamic working is available whereby the earliest start time is 7am and the latest finish time is 7pm. Please note, this role will be hybrid with a mixture of office-based and home-working.
