Overview
Nestled in the heart of our forest you will find the centrepiece of Center Parcs, the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. The heated pool is open from 9am to 8pm daily and features a toddler pool, wave pool, whirlpool, flumes and wild water rapids. Activities include snorkelling, scuba diving and aqua jets.
Role
LIFEGUARD β TRAINEE / QUALIFIED | Β£13.29 per hour. A Lifeguard is the main point of contact for our guests in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. You will provide a welcoming, friendly service while ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements in the pool environment. You will be a friendly, vigilant team member who strives to meet guestsβ requirements and maintain cleanliness standards within the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, ensuring all company and legal requirements are met at all times.
Responsibilities
- Be the main point of contact for guests in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, delivering welcoming and professional guest care.
- Maintain cleanliness standards and ensure compliance with company and legal requirements in the pool environment.
- Provide personal attention and care to guests, supporting their needs throughout their visit.
- Attend an NPLQ course if applying as a trainee, with successful interview required for employment offer.
- Complete a swim test if invited to interview, including diving into deep water, propulsive swimming, and exiting the pool without a ladder or steps.
- Undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, with the outcome satisfactory to commence employment.
Qualifications
- Strong swimming ability.
- Excellent communication skills; friendly and approachable as part of guest support.
- RLSS Pool Lifeguard / NARS qualification (for qualified lifeguards).
- First Aid Certificate (Desirable).
- Experience in pool plant operation (Desirable).
- Ability to perform under pressure and remain calm.
- Use of a defibrillator (Desirable).
