This role will be based within the Development Kitchen at our Sherwood Forest village. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Line Cook to join our Development Kitchen, working closely with the Group Development Chef (GDC). The role will play a key part in the preparation and delivery of all food and drink production for menu development.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting tastings, test cooking, training sessions and photoshoots for food and drink menus
  • Contributing to the production of marketing and training collateral

The successful candidate will bring proven experience as a Line Cook, including supervisory responsibilities and will act as a positive role model within the kitchen. You will demonstrate a supportive, collaborative approach and a strong commitment to quality, consistency and innovation. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a creative, development-focused environment and contribute directly to the evolution of our food and drink offering.

Hours of Work: You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, however flexibility will be required.

About You:

Essential requirements:

  • Previous experience at Line Cook level, including supervisory responsibility producing a range of dishes using fresh produce
  • Positive role model and supportive approach to leading a team

Desirable requirements:

  • A formal cooking qualification or willingness to study towards
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate
  • Previous experience in a food development environment
  • Naturally cheerful, patient and friendly
  • Previous administration experience including the use of Word and Excel
