Bring the fun to life and create magical moments for families. We’re looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Educational Ranger to deliver engaging nature-based experiences for guests of all ages at Sherwood Forest.

Responsibilities

  • Lead nature walks, providing expert insights into local wildlife and habitats
  • Deliver interactive activities such as willow weaving, bug hunts and habitat box making
  • Ensure safe, engaging sessions with the conservation team
  • Deliver a professional, friendly experience

Your working hours

  • Part-time
  • You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum of 64 hours over a 4‑week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements
  • Shifts: 7.00-15.30 (early shift), 8.30-17.00 or 8.45-17.15 (day shift), 12.00-20.00 or 13.45-22.15 (summer late shifts; time can change due to evening walks)

About You

  • Full driving licence held for a minimum of 6 months
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills with both adults and children
  • Friendly, genuine and warm personality
  • Wide knowledge of wildlife and natural history

Note: You’ll need to complete a DBS check before starting (we’ll help with that).
