Keep guests smiling and safe. As a Lifeguard in our Subtropical Swimming Paradise, you'll help create a safe and welcoming experience for every guest, upholding the highest health and safety standards while delivering exceptional guest care.
Location and Rate: Whinfell Forest | £13.83 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Monitor pool areas, ensuring guest safety and responding to emergencies
- Provide friendly, professional customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold health and safety standards
- Complete NPLQ training and demonstrate rescue and first aid skills
Requirements:
- To be a Lifeguard, you must be a strong swimmer and pass a swim test during the interview, which includes diving into deep water, timed swimming on front and back, and exiting the pool without assistance.
- Trainee Lifeguards must attend a 5-day NPLQ course. Employment is subject to passing the course.
- The course includes classroom sessions on Lifeguard responsibilities, observing pool guests, performing rescues and administering first aid and CPR.

Your Working Hours: Full-time and part-time contracts; shifts between 8:45am and 8:45pm. Guaranteed minimum hours over a 4-week period; additional hours may be required based on operational needs. This role includes weekends and bank holidays.
About You:
- RLSS Pool Lifeguard / NARS Qualification and 20 hours of continued professional development (Qualified Lifeguards only)
- Able to swim 50 metres within 55 seconds
- Effective communication and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Friendly, genuine and warm towards guests and colleagues
