Overview
Nestled in the heart of our forest you will find the centrepiece of Center Parcs, the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. Healed water temperature is 29.5C all year round and open from 10am to 9pm daily. The pool area includes a toddler pool, wave pool, whirlpool, flumes and wild water rapids. Activities available include learning to snorkel, scuba diving and Aqua jets.
LIFEGUARD β TRAINEE / QUALIFIED | Β£13.29 per hour
Responsibilities
- Be the main point of contact for guests in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, greeting them in a positive, friendly manner and ensuring adherence to Health and Safety requirements in the pool environment.
- Represent Center Parcs professionally to guests, delivering excellent guest care and creating a lasting positive impression.
- Maintain cleanliness standards within the Subtropical Swimming Paradise and ensure all company and legal requirements are met at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong swimmer; applicants invited to interview must complete a swim test (diving into deep water, timed and continuous swimming on front and back, exiting without a ladder/steps).
- Ability to communicate with people from all walks of life; friendly, genuine and warm towards guests and colleagues.
- RLSS Pool Lifeguard / NARS Qualification β for qualified lifeguards.
- Disclosures: Due to the sensitive nature of this role, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Employment is contingent on satisfactory DBS and selection information.
- Ability to reliably commute to Center Parcs Woburn Forest, MK45 2HZ (public transport access may be limited).
Hours and Contracts
We offer flexible contracts. Your hours and days of work may vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.
- 100 hours per 4 week period
As our village is open 365 days a year, working hours will include public/bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis.
About You
You must possess excellent communication skills and be friendly and approachable, providing a supportive role to our guests with personal attention and care at all times.
