Team Leader - First Aid Emergency Technician in Bedford

Role

TEAM LEADER – FIRST AID AND EMERGENCY TECHNICIAN | £14.50 per hour

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Team Leader – First Aid Emergency Technician to oversee high‑quality first aid emergency response services across the village. The role combines emergency care with administrative responsibilities to ensure operational readiness and compliance at all times.

Working closely with the Security Manager, you will coordinate staffing and schedule first aid coverage in line with village activity levels. You’ll provide daily leadership and support to the first aid team, maintaining a strong safety and care culture and driving high performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and delegate the ordering of first aid supplies and emergency equipment for the First Aid Centre and the wider village.
• Oversee equipment requests and ensure timely preparation for incoming guests.
• Prepare for annual compliance audits, ensuring documentation, equipment, and procedures meet required standards.

This role requires strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills and a genuine commitment to health, safety, and the wellbeing of guests and colleagues.

About You

Alongside First Aid at Work certification (including AED) or extensive experience in first aid, you’ll have excellent communication skills, work well under pressure, and remain calm with the ability to assess and act quickly.

Essential requirements

• Ability to lead, support and develop the First Aid Centre team
• First Aid certification, with AED or extensive experience
• BLS Adult and Paediatrics or prepared to undertake training
• Oxygen administration qualification or prepared to undertake training
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and make decisions calmly
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft and other computer systems
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
