APPRENTICE IT TECHNICIAN | Β£12.37 per hour
In this role, you will work as part of a small team providing first line IT support and escalating issues to senior members of the team or third parties where necessary. A confident nature is required as you will be responsible for responding to colleagues and guests queries via telephone, email and instant messaging chat services ensuring all requests are logged promptly on the IT help desk system. You will also provide proactive support through monitoring systems and procedural checks.
Excellent communication skills will be required as you will ensure users are regularly kept informed of the status and progress of their request and will ensure that tickets are regularly updated. Other aspects of the role include ensuring hardware stock levels are maintained and the IT rooms are kept tidy at all times.
The programme will take approximately 17 months to complete, and you will blend your learning activities into your normal working hours to enable you to grow your IT knowledge and deliver a great experience to our colleagues and guests. After successful completion of the course, you will achieve a Level 3 Microsoft Azure Cloud Support Specialist qualification as well as additional qualifications in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals and Microsoft 365 Fundamentals.

HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis (40 hours per week). This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

- 5 GCSEs at grade C / 4 or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organisation and prioritisation skills
Desirable requirements:
- GCSE or equivalent in IT
- Previous IT or customer service experience
