This is an exciting opportunity to join us as a Financial Accountant, supporting the Group Tax and Financial Accountant with:
- Technical accounting
- Preparation of statutory financial statements and annual reports
- Cashflow budgeting and forecasting
- Reviewing financial controls
We are happy to consider part-qualified candidates, provided you have strong relevant experience in financial accounting within mid to large organisations (practice or industry), including exposure to IFRS.
What you will be doing:
- Preparation of the Group’s subsidiary and holding company financial statements and annual reports.
- Responsible for preparing period end financial statements, including balance sheets and cash flow statements for Center Parcs Ireland Limited, as well as consolidated balance sheets, cash flow statements, and covenant calculations for the Center Parcs.
- Assist the Group Tax and Financial Accountant with the preparation of technical accounting papers.
- Obtain appropriate audit evidence and prepare supporting schedules to resolve any queries raised by internal or external auditors.
- Complete VAT returns on the required timetables for Center Parcs Ireland Limited, CPUK6 Limited and the UK Group.
What you will need:
- ACA/ACCA qualification (or part-qualified with strong relevant experience).
- Experience preparing financial statements and annual reports for mid to large environments.
- Exposure to IFRS (essential).
- Experience of external financial audits.
- Exposure to UK VAT and Corporation Tax (tax is not a core focus of this role).
