The Grounds Services team is responsible for managing and maintaining the forest landscape at each of our villages, including wildlife and biodiversity surveys. Our expert teams are extremely passionate about the natural environment at Center Parcs, which our guests love to see.
LONGLEAT FOREST RANGER – £13.47 per hour
Fixed-term until 2nd July 2026
In this role, you will support the Grounds Services Manager in the effective management and supervision of the development in accordance with Company and legislative requirements. You will actively promote conservation aspects, support the Senior Forest Rangers with key tasks and help develop and maintain an effective working team.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that all equipment is maintained in a safe working condition
- Maintenance of ornamental landscaping, weeding, pruning and bark mulching
- Maintenance of interior landscaping as required
- Grass management
- Forestry work; including thinning operation and habitat creation
- Waterway management
Please note that this role will involve working outdoors during periods of adverse weather conditions.

HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4‑week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis. You may also be required to participate in the department’s call‑out rota as required.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
- An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a recognised horticultural or forestry discipline or equivalent experience / prepared to undertake training
- Previous experience in the use of agricultural, forestry and horticultural machinery, along with certified competency in use of pesticides
- Full Driving Licence, held for a minimum of 6 months
Desirable requirements:
- A good knowledge of natural history and have an interest in nature conservation
- Previous experience within the horticultural or forestry profession at a craftsman level
