Overview

At Center Parcs all our accommodation has been designed and built to the highest standards, so we need a team to uphold these standards and exceed guest expectation. Our Housekeeping team maintains more than 700 units of accommodation, from apartments and penthouses to Lodges and Treehouses, and looks after our public areas and office spaces. No two days are the same, and this is the largest team in each Village.

Cleaner – Central Buildings | Β£12.37 per hour

Within this role you will carry out general cleaning duties of the public and staff areas, including restaurants, toilets, shops and office spaces. You will use industrial cleaning equipment, replenish toiletries and report any defects.

Hours of work

We have the following contracts available on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

  • 48 hours per 4 week period
  • 64 hours per 4 week period
  • 80 hours per 4 week period
  • 96 hours per 4 week period
  • 120 hours per 4 week period

Shifts fall between 5:00am and 11:30pm and include working alternate weekends. As our village is open 365 days a year, your working hours will include public/bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis.

Please note that to apply for a role with us, you must be able to reliably commute to Center Parcs Whinfell Forest (CA10 2DW) as it is not easily accessible by public transport. If you plan to use public transport, please plan your journey with the appropriate options available locally.

About you

You don’t need any experience in cleaning as full training will be provided and you will be surrounded by a supportive team.

If you can bring the following qualities and skills then we’d love to hear from you:

  • Good communication skills – confident to talk to guests and your colleagues
  • An awareness of general standards of cleanliness and a keen eye for detail
  • Basic technology literacy (for example, use of tablets, apps, smartphone functions)

Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.
