Join to apply for the Laundry Engineer White Goods role at Center Hotels. A worldwide manufacturer of commercial laundry equipment is looking for experienced field engineers to manage service, breakdown and fault‑finding on a wide range of commercial appliances and laundry units.
Required Experience
- Field Service Engineer with electro‑mechanical or gas & electrical background
- Proficient use of a multimeter
- Full UK driving licence
- Gas ACS qualification desirable (training can be provided after probation)
- Able to work efficiently to rectify breakdowns and accurately follow PPM schedules
- Electrical competence, including the ability to dead‑test and carry out safe isolation
Preferred Experience
- Experience with commercial laundry brands such as Miele, Electrolux, Girbau, JLA
- Experience with domestic appliances such as Beko, Whirlpool, Haier, Bosch, Fisher Paykel, Hotpoint, Smeg, etc.
Responsibilities
- Carry out service, breakdown and fault‑finding on commercial laundry equipment, washers, dryers, ironers at client premises including care homes, universities, hotels and other sites.
- Provide excellent customer service onsite and ensure all service visits meet company and client expectations.
- Participate in ongoing manufacturer and product training, with gas training available after a qualifying period.
Hours & Remuneration
- Monday to Friday – 42.5 hours per week
- Standby rota – 1 in 4 weekends (paid extra)
- Paid travel and overtime (x1.5 Mon‑Sat, x2 Sundays)
- Company van (automatic transit, fully equipped, available for personal use)
- Uniform, tools, phone, PDA provided
- 28 days holiday + bank holidays
- Private health care scheme and company pension scheme
- Bonus scheme based on First Time Fix
Package
- Basic salary: £35,000 to £38,000 (gas) negotiable
- Standby pay: £50 per day (1 in 4 weekends) – approx £4,000–£6,000 extra annually if called out
- Bonus: £2,000 circa monthly performance‑based bonus (details discussed at interview)
- Overtime payments as above
