Salary: Up to £40,000 basic + overtime, on-call & company van

I'm recruiting on behalf of a well-established, customer-focused commercial catering equipment service provider who are continuing to expand their coverage across the Doncaster-Hull corridor. Due to sustained growth, they are now looking to add an experienced Catering Engineer to their team. My client is also keen to speak with engineers who have a strong electrical-only catering background, even if they are not fully gas qualified.

This role will involve carrying out reactive breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance across Grimsby, Hull, Doncaster and Scunthorpe. You'll be working largely independently across the region with a fully stocked company van, digital job management system, and strong support from the service office, while also collaborating with the wider engineering team when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintenance and breakdown repair of commercial gas and electric catering equipment
  • Working across a variety of sites including hospitality, care, education and retail
  • Fault finding, diagnostics and safety checks in line with Gas Safe regulations
  • Maintaining clear communication with customers and internal teams
  • Managing your daily workload and job reporting via mobile device
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Catering Engineer
  • COMCAT 1, 3 & 5 (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • F-Gas qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Based anywhere between Doncaster and Hull
