We are looking for an Agritourism Event Coordinator; it is a unique "boots-on-the-ground" role. You are the primary point of contact for our customers. You will guide them through their planning process, answer their "what-if" questions about weather or terrain, and ensure they feel like guests on our family farm. You must be a logistical powerhouse capable of overseeing seasonal festival events and coordinating backend services, without losing sight of “Center Grove Orchard’s farm magic." The ideal candidate possesses a deep passion for communication, interacting with our guests like they are the only guest that has an event that day. Have a 'can-do' attitude toward outdoor challenges, and the rare ability to turn a rain-soaked afternoon into a memorable adventure for our guests.
Requirements
- Event Lifecycle Management: Develop a comprehensive understanding of event requirements to lead successful execution from concept to completion.
- Operational Skills: Manage the end-to-end "boots on the ground" processes, including site set-up, vendor/staff coordination, tear-down, and post-event reporting.
- Internal Liaison: Act as a communicator hub to ensure seamless coordination between the Events Team, guests, and other Center Grove Orchard departments.
- Administrative Oversight: Handle day-to-day event administration, including guest scheduling, documentation, and guest correspondence.
- Maturity & Availability: Must be 18+ years of age. Ability to work a variable seasonal schedule including weekdays, evenings, and weekends (Total estimated: 400 hours from July through December). Workload in October is heavier; it will be around 40 hours a week.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active in various outdoor conditions (heat, cold, and rain).
- Organizational Excellence: Proven multi-tasking abilities and a high level of organization; must be able to manage competing priorities without dropping the ball.
- Entertainment Focus: Enthusiastic for outdoor family entertainment and helping guests organize their event that makes memories that last a lifetime.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) to manage digital workflows and event tracking.
- Hospitality Mindset: Exceptional management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a "guest-first" attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Method: Ability to use mobile communication devices for on-site coordination.
