Center for Life Management (CLM) provides the area's most comprehensive array of outpatient mental healthcare. We offer innovative and evidence-based services that enhance the health and well-being of individuals and families. We operate three facilities, our main office (Derry, NH), our satellite office (Salem, NH) and a residential program (Salem, NH). Our practice serves Southern New Hampshire as the region’s designated mental health center; therefore, our services are provided in a hybrid model to meet patient needs including in the home, in the community, in the office and remote via telehealth.
The Facilities Technician position maintains all facilities to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for staff and clients. The Facilities Technician supports CLM’s mission of enhancing health and well-being through maintaining safe and welcoming facilities. This is a full time, 40 hours per week position and is considered non-exempt in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm and other times as necessary to meet the needs of the department.
Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties:
- Performs routine cleaning, including restroom sanitation, maintaining lobbies and waiting areas, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, polishing, disinfecting contact surfaces, trash removal, recycling of materials, and floor scrubbing.
- Conducts routine maintenance tasks, such as general building repairs, furniture assembly, painting, and minor plumbing repairs.
- Takes regular inventory of the facility’s housekeeping supplies.
- Maintains the facility’s interior, exterior, grounds, and parking lots.
- Performs regular maintenance audits to ensure facility safety and security.
- Responds to and contains maintenance emergencies.
- Transports and sets up equipment and furniture between offices and/or facilities.
- Reports repair needs and cleaning issues to the director.
- Escorts vendors through the building when needed.
- Provides facility assistance for all agency sponsored events.
- Participates in preventative maintenance programs and record-keeping for maintenance tasks.
- Performs other tasks as needed.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
The work takes place in various office and potential residential settings. Manual dexterity is needed to use computers and standard office equipment. Daily activities involve sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling or walking for extended periods; using hand tools and power equipment; and lifting heavy-weight objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Shoveling snow may be required during the winter months, including after hours if necessary. Reliable transportation required to travel between practice locations.

Requirements Qualifications and Skills:
- 1 – 2 years of experience with standard cleaning procedures, tools, and equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to address all community members in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and resolve maintenance issues.
- Must have a current driver’s license with a clean driving record and auto insurance.
- Ability to work with multiple and competing deadlines.
