We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee our bar operations in a vibrant hospitality setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supervising teams within the hospitality industry, ensuring exceptional service and adherence to food safety standards. This role requires a leader who can effectively manage staff, maintain high standards, and create an inviting atmosphere for guests.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train bar staff, fostering a positive team environment
- Oversee bar operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimising waste
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, adhering to hygiene safety standards
- Monitor financial performance of the bar, implementing strategies for improvement
- To perform any other duties in connection with operations as the company may require from time to time
- Setting up Function Suites for a variety of events
- Ensuring all guest & staff areas are cleaned & fully equipped
- To assist other members of the team as required
- Lifting of equipment and furniture
- To assist the operational team to ensure that the venue is fully operational, standards are maintained, customer care and satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development
- Excellent bartending skills with knowledge of various beverages
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
