Centellic's Events division runs the leading international legal technology events that bring the sector's vendors, law firms and innovators together. We're looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to own sponsorship and exhibition revenue for our legal tech portfolio, selling into a genuinely international client base.

This is a senior, quota-carrying role for someone who already knows how to sell high-value sponsorship packages and wants real ownership. You'll also help shape the next generation of the team, mentoring junior BDMs as the division scales.

About Centellic: Centellic stands at the center of the markets it serves, empowering organizations with indispensable data and insight to make critical decisions on growth, risk and opportunity. Through proprietary data, deep market expertise and AI-enabled technology, our platforms are embedded in client workflows. That capability is underpinned by our events, which bring the market together to share perspective and deepen understanding of the issues shaping each sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sponsorship and exhibition sales for Centellic's legal technology events portfolio, building a pipeline of vendors, law firms and legal-tech innovators.
  • Own the full sales cycle end-to-end, from prospecting, pitching, negotiating and closing against a personal revenue target.
  • Build and protect senior-level relationships with sponsors and exhibitors, identifying upsell, upgrade and multi-event opportunities as their needs grow.
  • Bring deep, credible knowledge of the legal tech landscape: the vendors, the buyers, the competitor events and share that intelligence to sharpen our proposition and content.
  • Represent Centellic at industry events and conferences building the relationships that turn into pipeline.
  • Partner closely with content, marketing, operations and finance to ensure what we sell gets delivered flawlessly.
  • Keep the CRM a genuinely accurate picture of your pipeline, not a box-ticking exercise: leads and opportunities tracked cleanly through to Closed Won.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the team, helping embed them in the business and in Centellic's culture.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise:

  • A strong track record of sales in events, media, publishing or professional services, sponsorship or exhibition sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Existing knowledge of, or credible interest in, the legal sector or legal technology; established relationships in this space are a real advantage.
  • Competent using digital tools day-to-day, to manage, improve and update automation and AI systems to streamline processes and drive efficiency.
  • Confidence pitching and negotiating with senior stakeholders, comfortable discussing significant sponsorship investments.
  • A genuinely consultative, relationship-first sales style: you build partnerships, not just close deals.
  • Resilience and self-motivation; you're driven by targets.
  • Willingness to travel for events and client meetings.
  • A natural mentor, someone junior colleagues want to learn from.

Benefits:

  • Start Of Employment: Eye care, Employee Assistance Programme, A day off for your birthday.
  • After 3 Months Employment: Pension (4% employer contribution and 4% employee contribution).
  • After 4 Months Employment: Life assurance.
  • After Probation: Cycle to work scheme, Season ticket loan, £350 annual wellbeing allowance to contribute to gym memberships or fitness classes, Puregym access, Perks at work platform access.
  • After 1 Year Service: Private healthcare.
  • Additional Perks: Company socials, Access to Employee Affinity Networks, Mentoring scheme, Volunteering Day, Mortgage Advice, Work from anywhere (2 weeks), Generous parental leave.
