Job Summary
This role is a multi drop delivery driver responsible for delivering company products to customers in a safe and timely manner, representing the company, and maintaining high standards of customer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and competent driving standard, observing speed limits and traffic signs.
- Perform daily vehicle checks (lights, brakes, coolant, etc.) ensuring roadworthy condition.
- Report faults, breakdowns, accidents, or delays.
- Maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle and its cleanliness.
- Ensure sufficient fuel is taken for the day's work.
- Maintain security of the vehicle and contents at all times.
- Check all orders on drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded.
- Collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and return to the branch as instructed.
- Deal promptly and correctly with damages or breakages, following HazChems procedures.
- Maintain a smart appearance.
- Help maintain good customer relations.
- Assist with other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by management.
- Meet all Health & Safety requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required
Essential
- Full driving licence relevant to the vehicle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer care.
- Intermediate numeracy and literacy.
Desirable
- Previous experience in multi drop delivery driving.
- Route planning experience.
