The Influencer Group is a data subscriptions business comprising Influencer Intelligence and Fashion & Beauty Monitor. We are seeking an experienced, commercial Product leader preferably from a data subscriptions background but as an absolute minimum, SaaS services to lead the business on a fixed term basis.

This is an opportunity for a product leader to take a more general management position leading disciplines alongside applying a product focus, working with senior in reviewing and refining the product proposition in addition to the running and optimisation of the business unit. The team of circa 25 colleagues is comprised of account management, business development, content, product and marketing. The team are passionate and knowledgeable about their sector, audience and market. This role is responsible for harnessing this knowledge to review and define a product road map and strategy, alongside the day to day running of the business unit and P&L.

What will you do

  • Lead the business unit across all disciplines (account management, business development, content, product, marketing)
  • Review and redefine the product roadmap
  • Manage and optimise the overall business unit P&L

Within these, key activities include:

  • Review, analyse and redefine the product strategy
  • Identify quick wins and high impact opportunities to enhance customer experience and revenue opportunities and deliver these
  • Develop longer term product, framing opportunities in a clear way presenting options, risks, and trade-offs
  • Assess trading performance and identify opportunities to optimise how we work to enhance performance
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure product positioning and capabilities supports commercial ambitions
  • Define clear KPIs and objectives for each function and ensure accountability across the leadership team
  • Act as a manager and mentor to the team, supporting them in solving challenges and enabling them to deliver across the range of disciplines in the entire P&L
  • Translate technical product narratives into compelling commercial and investment stories for internal and external audiences

What are we looking for?

  • A hands-on leader who has experience working in small/medium sized environments and is therefore familiar with the extent of resources available to them in these settings
  • Extensive product development experience in SME SaaS platforms (preferably subscription services although this is not essential)
  • Someone who pivots seamlessly from ‘big picture’ to ‘in the weeds’
  • A fast paced, delivery mindset
  • Proven commercial acumen and impact – this role has responsibility for a full business unit P&L and range of functions including business development and account management
  • A collaborative and coaching approach supporting a diverse team of varying experience levels, strategically and tactically
  • An awareness of GDPR and privacy requirements, implications and best practice
