Account Director, Renewals

PURPOSE
The successful candidate will have ownership of assigned enterprise accounts, spanning brands, agencies and media organisations. You will be responsible for retaining and growing these subscription agreements, cross selling between TIG brands and identifying upsell opportunities.
Using our customer success software, you should define and execute ‘customer success plans’ to ensure your clients derive maximum ROI from the subscription. Achieving a strong renewal rate and upgrading these accounts to higher yield subscriptions with additional user licenses and benefits will contribute to the ambitious growth the TIG team is aiming for in 2025 and beyond.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- You’ll maintain a strong renewal rate, consistently close business, and accurately forecast sales.
- You’ll build, nurture, and leverage strong client relationships that lead to ongoing and repeatable business year on year.
- You’ll develop compelling and powerful proposals that bring the TIG subscription proposition to life.
- You’ll ensure maximum revenue generation through effective negotiation and engagement of multiple stakeholders.
- You’ll onboard and train end users.
- You’ll ensure that you maintain a deep and holistic understanding of total TIG products and platforms.
- You’ll work collaboratively with Account Management colleagues, our Customer Success and Content Teams to meet client requirements, identify the most lucrative opportunities and close sales.
- You’ll work closely with our Customer Success team to identify risk accounts and embed a customer success plan to retain those clients and help deliver exceptional account management to your assigned accounts.
- You’ll have a keen eye for detail and ensure admin around forecasting, closing sales and keeping internal documents, Salesforce and Gainsight up to date.
- You’ll meet your targets.

- A strong track record in B2B sales role preferably business information or subscriptions (retention)
- The ability to command respect and communicate with clients without support.
- An entrepreneurial flair with a positive attitude

- Self-motivated and capable of hands-on problem solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions, and ensure an exceptional culture of client service.
- Outstanding commercial acumen and adept at uncovering prospects’ business challenges
