Lead Solution Engineer – New Logo
We are looking for an outstanding Lead Solution Engineer to join our Commercial Industries Solution Engineering team, focused on our New Logo customer segment. New Logo covers a wide range of industries and potential customer sizes — from challenger fintechs to fast‑growth retailers, ambitious professional services firms to disruptive tech businesses — making it dynamic, fast‑paced and exciting. No two deals are the same, and no two days are either.
What is a Solution Engineer?
Also known as a Presales Consultant, Sales Consultant, or Sales Engineer, a Solution Engineer is responsible for owning the solutions throughout the sales cycle and delivering thought leadership to companies to transform their customers’ experience. Solution Engineers are part of the UKI Sales team and are experts who work alongside their colleagues, support their aligned sales team to create AI, Data, and CRM solutions for new prospects and customers. They translate business objectives into enticing and practical recommendations, act as trusted advisors, support marketing events, and drive continuous improvement within the Solution Engineering team.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver innovative custom solutions, including solution concepts to key decision makers to address their business issues and needs, showing business value.
- Coordinate and lead the entire solution cycle through close collaboration with other high‑performing teams.
- Build an industry perspective by incorporating and developing a point of view based on Salesforce’s solutions.
- Fully understand and clearly articulate the benefits of Salesforce to customers at every level, including administration/IT staff, managers and C‑level executives.
- Present compelling Salesforce and partner solutions while supporting relationships with customers and partners.
- Display initiative, self‑motivation and deliver high‑quality results while meeting all expectations.
- Support customers in getting up and running with Agentic capabilities through workshops and thought leadership.
Personal Attributes and Experience
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Hands‑on experience with Salesforce development (e.g., Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, APIs).
- Understanding the unique business requirements of customers within multiple industries and translating those needs into a compelling vision and roadmap.
- Track record of solution engineering, consultancy, delivery or training success for a software solution organisation.
- Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication and relationship skills.
- Proven time‑management skills in a dynamic team environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team to solve problems in dynamic, energising environments.
- Inquisitive, practical and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge.
- Willing and able to travel occasionally.
- Computer Science Degree or equivalent proven experience required.
