Centara Ltd, based in Normanton, West Yorkshire, is looking to expand its survey team with a CAD Technician who will provide support to the Geospatial team.
Responsibilities
- To provide CAD support to the Geospatial team, highly proficient in CAD based software to aid with the production of detailed dimensional plans, elevations, sections & survey drawings for:
- Topographical & Terrain Surveys
- Measured Buildings
- Underground Utilities
- Earthworks & Volumetric Survey Analysis
- Photogrammetry & Drone Data
- Point Cloud Data from Laser Scanning / Aerial Mapping
- To provide drafted survey data and accurately produce survey drawings for clients or designers.
- Ensure that drawings comply with company policies & Gridmark QA procedures.
- Liaise with other CAD, survey and design team members.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the civil engineering & construction industry.
- Show willingness to learn and adapt to new surveying software.
- Produce or amend drawings accurately and efficiently according to specification briefs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure drawings are clear, consistent, and accurate.
- Adhere to ISO 9001 quality standards, saving all drawings correctly, maintaining numbering and following company procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- 1–2 years’ experience ideally.
- Industry background: Geospatial / Land / Civil / Architectural / Highways.
- Experience drawing for Geospatial / Land / Civil / Architectural / Highways.
- Experience with MEP AutoCAD & n4ce (essential), Civils 3D & Revit.
- Experience applying CAD Standards & Quality Standards.
