Seeking Coordinator for our North Ipswich OSHC team! Are you passionate about creating positive change and building a strong, supportive environment for children and educators? St Joseph’s Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Coordinator to lead and strengthen our service. St Joseph’s OSHC is a well-established service with capacity for 105 children, offering before and after school care as well as vacation care. We are currently in a phase of growth and development, and are looking for a confident leader who can support the team, guide positive behaviour outcomes, and foster a calm, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children.
This role would suit someone with strong experience in behaviour guidance, inclusion support, and team leadership—someone who can bring educators on a journey, build capability, and implement consistent, high-quality practices across the service. Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operation of our Before and After School Care and Vacation Care programs, ensuring a safe and enriching environment.
- Lead a dedicated team of educators, inspiring and supporting them to bring out their best.
- Develop and implement innovative, play-based programs that cater to our children's interests and needs.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and the school community, fostering a sense of belonging.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining a high level of care and safety.
- Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis.
- Consent to being the Nominated Supervisor.
- Strong understanding of Childcare legislation, including National Quality Framework, Standards, and My Time Our Place.
- Previous childcare service management experience.
- Child Protection training is required for this role.
- Proficient with childcare management software (Xplor preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership skills for team development.
