At St Joseph’s OSHC, we provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children before and after school, as well as during school holidays. We are licensed for 105 children.

Our services focus on nurturing creativity and encouraging the development of social, emotional, and cognitive skills through fun, educational, and structured activities. We pride ourselves on being a close-knit team committed to delivering the highest standards of care, and we are seeking an individual who shares this commitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including program planning, delivery, and documentation
  • Staff rostering and supervision
  • Administration and financial management tasks (e.g., fee collection)
  • Assist in the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive, educational program
  • Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
  • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
  • Participate in professional and personal development
  • Consent to be the Responsible Person on-site in the absence of the coordinator
  • Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission, and Values of Centacare Child Care Services

Job Requirements:

  • An ACECQA-approved school-age qualification, including studies in education, community services, health, therapy, sports, or creative arts
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework, and National Law/Regulations
  • Experience in the education and care of children
  • Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
  • Effective workplace communication and leadership skills
