We are looking for an experienced Plastic / GRP Fabricator to join a specialist manufacturing team based near Horsham, West Sussex. This is a practical workshop-based role involving the fabrication, assembly, finishing and repair of plastic and GRP components.
Day-to-day work will include:
- Fabricating and assembling plastic and GRP products
- Reading drawings, blueprints and work instructions
- Measuring, marking and cutting plastic and fibreglass materials
- Drilling, trimming, grinding, countersinking and finishing components
- Using hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery
- Fitting and assembling components using jigs, fixtures and fasteners
- Checking dimensions using calipers, micrometers and other measuring equipment
- Repairing and reworking components where required
Candidates should have around 3+ years' relevant fabrication experience, ideally involving plastics, GRP, fibreglass, process vessels or similar industrial products. We are particularly interested in practical fabricators who are confident with hand and power tools, can work accurately from drawings and take pride in producing work to a high standard.
Pay: £14–£16 per hour, depending on experience.
