We are currently seeking a skilled Workshop Based Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment mechanics with a good basic knowledge of hydraulics and electrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Repair and replace faulty parts and components using hand and power tools.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Complete service reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective workflow and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in a workshop setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of hydraulics and electrics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
