We are currently seeking a skilled Workshop Based Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment mechanics with a good basic knowledge of hydraulics and electrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Repair and replace faulty parts and components using hand and power tools.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
- Complete service reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective workflow and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in a workshop setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of hydraulics and electrics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
