This role is in support of Cencora's veterinary and livestock production solutions marketed through our MWI Animal Health business. MWI Animal Health is a leading brand of Cencora, offering animal health services globally.
We are seeking a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Business Partner to join our Health, Safety & Environment team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. You will take ownership of HSE activity across our Stoke Distribution Centre and Northern sites, acting as a trusted advisor to leaders and teams. This is a hands-on role focused on risk assessments, auditing/inspections, legal compliance, corrective actions and non-conformance management, supporting the effective delivery of our HSE management system and helping embed a strong HSE culture across the business.
Location: Stoke-on-Trent with travel to our other locations in the North & Scotland
Job Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract, Full Time, 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with site leadership and teams to embed a strong HSE culture and promote safe, compliant working practices.
- Support the delivery and ongoing improvement of the HSE management system, aligned to business and operational needs.
- Lead and support completion and review of risk assessments, ensuring actions are captured and progressed.
- Conduct HSE audits and inspections across Stoke and Northern sites, track findings and drive closure of actions.
- Own and manage legal and compliance activities, including corrective actions and non-conformance logs.
- Support incident reporting and investigations, using Root Cause Analysis where appropriate and supporting trend analysis.
- Coach and advise leaders and team members, helping raise capability through guidance and HSE training support.
- Contribute to maintaining and improving compliance with relevant standards (including ISO 45001 / ISO 14001, where applicable).
Essential Skills and Experience:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
- Experience in a HSE Coordinator (or similar) role.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across operations.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage actions, logs, and follow-through.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across multiple sites.
Desirable:
- Involvement with ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 implementation/maintenance.
- NEBOSH Diploma.
- Lead/Internal Auditor certification.
- Experience in distribution centres, warehousing, transport or logistics environments.
- Environmental qualification and/or experience with IIE (Investors in the Environment).
