We are seeking an FP&A Business Partner to support the Practice Technology business unit at MWI Animal Health UK. This is a commercially focused Finance role, responsible for providing high-quality planning, analysis, and insight to support decision-making across the business.

You will work closely with stakeholders ranging from technical teams to senior leadership, with a particular focus on forecasting, budgeting, performance analysis, and financial reporting. The role also includes preparing business packs and presentations, helping to translate financial performance into clear and meaningful insight. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can take ownership of established processes, build strong stakeholder relationships, and help improve reporting and planning practices over time.

Hybrid working — minimum of 1 day per week on site

Hours of Work
40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders across the Practice Technology business unit, including technical teams, management, and senior leadership
  • Support the delivery of budgets, forecasts, and longer-term financial planning
  • Analyse actual performance, identify variances, and provide clear commentary and insight
  • Prepare business packs, presentations, and reporting materials for stakeholders
  • Translate financial information into a clear narrative to support commercial decision-making
  • Build strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders and act as a trusted finance partner
  • Take ownership of existing planning and reporting processes
  • Identify and support improvements to finance processes and reporting practices
  • Contribute to month-end management accounting, as well as Opex and Capex support where required.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in FP&A, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis
  • Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance audiences
  • Experience producing reporting, commentary, and presentations that explain the story behind the numbers
  • Strong analytical capability and attention to detail
  • Proactive approach, with the ability to take ownership and improve processes
  • Strong Excel skills
  • A relevant financial qualification, or equivalent experience (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CMA)
  • Desirable: Experience with management reporting, Opex, and Capex
  • Exposure to SAP and BI / reporting tools
  • Experience supporting short-, medium-, and long-term planning cycles
