Summary of Role
We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Despatch Loader to join our Service Delivery team in South Normanton. This role is responsible for the safe and accurate loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring deliveries are dispatched on time and in line with operational standards. You will play an important role in supporting the healthcare supply chain by maintaining load accuracy, compliance, and service excellence throughout the despatch process.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload vehicles in line with operational procedures and schedules.
- Complete daily Fork Lift Truck checks and report any defects or issues.
- Ensure loads are correctly positioned and secured using appropriate equipment.
- Follow loading schedules to ensure accurate and timely despatch to Service Centres.
- Maintain accurate records to support KPIs, quality standards, and load traceability.
- Receive and process inbound consignments, ensuring goods and documentation are handled correctly.
- Support the management of third-party consignments and additional network workstreams.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health and safety, and compliance across the warehouse and transport yard.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required. Less than 2 years of experience in warehouse support, distribution operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, or a related field required. Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent certification preferred. Knowledge in warehouse operations processes, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, staging, and shipping. Knowledge in inventory control principles, stock movement tracking, and material traceability requirements. Knowledge in temperature-controlled handling and cold chain support requirements for sensitive products and materials. Knowledge in packaging materials, reusable shipping assets, and replenishment practices within warehouse operations. Knowledge in shipment documentation, operational recordkeeping, and transaction processing requirements. Knowledge in safe material handling practices and the use of warehouse equipment and tools. Ability to follow established warehouse procedures and standardized work instructions. Ability to maintain accurate records and update operational information in warehouse systems and logs. Ability to identify inventory, packaging, shipment, and material handling exceptions for further action. Ability to support timely and accurate order preparation and material movement activities. Ability to manage multiple routine tasks across warehouse workflows while maintaining accuracy. Ability to work with temperature-sensitive materials in line with defined handling requirements.
