Job Details We have an exciting role for a Credit Controller (Majors and Non-Trade) working in our Customer Finance Team, at our Chessington office. In this role you will be controlling, maintaining and reporting on overall non trade and Major multiple sales ledgers, generating maximum cash flow, minimising bad debt and providing a high standard of customer service with both external and internal customers, developing a broader understanding of the business as a whole and the regulatory constraints. Main areas of responsibility will include: * To operate the companies credit control procedures to ensure the prompt collection of cash * Process electronic payments / remittance advices within agreed time frame * Maintain and improve effective communications both internally and externally * Produce management reports, assist in month end closure, post journal adjustments and assist in accounts reconciliation for Major accounts and Inter-company accounts * Prepare and produce the monthly statements for our key customers. * Act and report on early warning signs of any potential bad * Customer and branch visits as and when required throughout the UK * To be fully aware and partake in any procedural escalation processes to aid collection of debt * To prepare accounts for review by management when required * To prepare invoice, credit notes and journal adjustments as necessary * Support the allocation of cash on a daily / monthly basis as and when required * Make recommendations to management on improvements to systems and procedures * Understand the obligations for health and safety * Other ad hoc duties may be required as per departmental needs We would value the following attributes: * Enthusiastic with strong interpersonal and communicative skills, capable of developing a similar approach and culture within the finance team * Flexible attitude – able to adapt to changing priorities and business needs * Computer literate with very good excel skills. * A strong understanding of the principles of debt collection * Be result oriented and customer focused with good administrative skills to prioritise own work * Ability to work on own initiative * Ability to work under pressure * Good team member * Flexible * Effective communicator We have an array of benefits to suit your lifestyle including; Employee assistance programme with legal and financial advisors as well as mental health counselling.
