This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business. Location is Belfast, BT3 9JQ.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team in Belfast. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate assembly and handling of items within our warehouse, adhering to guidelines and maintaining a safe working environment.
Location and Salary
- Location: Belfast, BT3 9JQ
- Salary: £12.54 per hour
- Days: Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week
- Shift Times: 10.30am - 2.30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately assemble items from pick documentation, ensuring the correct quantity is picked.
- Handle items with care to avoid damage; report any damages to the line team leader.
- Report any picking errors or visible issues in the warehouse to the line team leader immediately.
- Ensure hospital and special check orders are assembled accurately and verified.
- Follow specific guidelines for picking medical bulk, fridge, and secure area orders, as covered in training.
- Respond promptly to any errors or unusual quantities during the picking process.
- Maintain awareness of health and safety procedures at all times.
- Keep the warehouse area clean, tidy, and free from rubbish.
Education
Basic literacy and numeracy skills are required.
Work Experience
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable.
Skills and Knowledge
- Essential: High visual accuracy, Good verbal communication skills, Basic written communication skills, Customer care orientation
- Desirable: Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
