To accurately distribute orders to the correct routes and ensure this is done safely, along with any other requests required by management.
Accurately checking orders / totes from drop sheets paying special attention to route, according to procedures. Ensure orders / totes are allocated to pallet / route cage. Prioritise orders / totes by route departure time.
Loading vehicles as per instructions, ensuring that all bins, boxes, bags are loaded in the vehicle in a safe manner. Ensuring all loads are secure, following the correct load security processes. Ensuring that all pallets and cages are stored correctly and bins, boxes, bags are stacked in a safe manner.
Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to. Any other tasks required by management. Ensuring empty totes are sorted correctly.
Good communication skills. Contributing to team success and working towards the team goals. Taking prompt actions to accomplish team goals. Flexible approach to working. Ability to work under pressure. Good visual accuracy and numeracy skills.
Desirable: Any previous experience working in a warehouse environment would be highly desirable as well as any experience driving a Counterbalance forklift truck.
Manual Handling: It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are essential requirements of this role.
