This role is in support of Cencora's third party logistics service in Europe operating through our Alloga business. Alloga UK is seeking a dedicated and professional Class 1 Driver with shunting experience to join our team in South Normanton. As a Class 1 Driver and shunter, you will play a vital role in providing a professional customer delivery service while maintaining a safe and competent standard of driving. You will be delivering to UK destinations only from our distribution centre on Derby Commercial Park / South Normanton.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver goods promptly and safely, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any delays or issues.
- Complete documentation accurately, including proof of deliveries and returns.
- Maintain a high level of vehicle cleanliness and road safety, adhering to speed limits and traffic regulations.
- Conduct daily vehicle walkaround checks and manage secure loading practices.
- Report any risks, incidents, or temperature excursions as they arise.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience.
- Skills: Excellent customer care and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Attributes: Smart appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a flexible approach to work.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 and a sound knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
