CEN Resources are working in partnership with a well-known UK based engineering consultancy. Our client delivers design, engineering, and project delivery across several various industries within Power Networks, Process Industries and Built Environments. Due to growth, our client is looking to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer to join their already thriving and enthusiastic team in London. This team currently work across a range of sectors such as Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Process, Power Networks, Transportation and Water.
Working across diverse projects, you will be responsible for delivering civil designs and mentoring junior team members. You will have the opportunity to develop infrastructure capabilities within a dynamic and growing team. You will also contribute to the wider development of the Civil & Structural department and support the implementation of best practices in design and project delivery.
For this particular role, the successful applicant will have design experience within infrastructure design for commercial/land developments.
- Responsibilities
- Lead civil design delivery across multiple projects, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality criteria are met.
- Develop and mentor junior engineers and technicians in technical design and BIM software integration.
- Undertake infrastructure design, including earthworks, drainage, pavement design, and 3D underground service coordination.
- Provide technical review of subcontractor and supplier drawings for compliance with design intent.
- Promote innovation and sustainability in civil engineering solutions.
- Represent our client in external meetings and site visits as required.
- Requirements
- HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (minimum).
- Chartered or working towards Chartership with ICE.
- Experience in Utilities coordination, below-ground drainage, pavements, hard standings and earthworks.
- Technical expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage.
- Strong understanding of drainage network design, flood risk assessment, and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).
- Ability to mentor, train, and support junior engineers.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- The successful applicant must be able to work in the UK without Visa sponsorship.
