CEN Resources are partnering with a well-known UK-based engineering consultancy to hire a Senior Civil Engineer for their London office. The role requires delivering civil designs, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to the development of the Civil & Structural department within a diverse team working across Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Process, Power Networks, Transportation, and Water sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead civil design delivery across multiple projects, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality criteria are met.
  • Develop and mentor junior engineers and technicians in technical design and BIM software integration.
  • Undertake infrastructure design, including earthworks, drainage, pavement design, and 3D underground service coordination.
  • Provide technical review of subcontractor and supplier drawings for compliance with design intent.
  • Promote innovation and sustainability in civil engineering solutions.
  • Represent the client in external meetings and site visits as required.

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (minimum).
  • Chartered or working towards Chartership with ICE.
  • Experience in utilities coordination, below-ground drainage, pavements, hard standings and earthworks.
  • Technical expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage.
  • Strong understanding of drainage network design, flood risk assessment, and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).
  • Ability to mentor, train, and support junior engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • The successful applicant must be able to work in the UK without Visa sponsorship.
