Join to apply for the Residential Children’s Practitioner CWD – Casual role at CEMP.

Countywide posts in Norwich and Kings Lynn (Springwood, Foxwood, Marshfields and CWD Outreach Team).

We are looking to add to our team on a casual basis to help cover any staffing needs. You may be offered work in any of these services: specialist emergency and time limited residential home, two short break homes and an outreach team which involves working directly with children and families within their own homes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide meaningful day to day activities to children and young people with disabilities to develop their emotional and social needs by building positive relationships and enhancing independence skills.
  • Provide personal intimate care such as feeding, washing, toileting, dressing, hoisting, administering medication and also health care tasks and duties that can be met through appropriate training and delegation of clinical procedures in line with the 2005 Royal College of Nursing Guidelines.
  • Work across the whole week (including weekends and bank holidays) and can include unsociable hours, night work, sleep‑ins and also being part of the on‑call rota system.

You may be new to the care profession or experienced and want a change. What’s important is the ability to form effective relationships with children with disabilities, your life experiences, personal strength, and positive attitude. You will receive a full induction and training programme and will hold or be willing to work towards the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Child Care, which we will fund.
