Casual Work | Variable Hours | £13.26/hr + Allowances

Countywide posts in Norwich and King's Lynn (Springwood, Foxwood, Marshfields, and CWD Outreach Team).

Norfolk County Council is committed to providing quality residential and outreach services for children and young people with disabilities aged 7-17. We aim to achieve excellent outcomes through creative and ambitious opportunities, ensuring the best for our children.

Our services include emergency residential homes, short break homes, and outreach work within children's homes and families. We are seeking motivated, resilient, and empathetic team members to help children with disabilities thrive. You may work in any of our services, covering staffing needs on a casual basis.

Role Responsibilities

  • Providing meaningful activities to support emotional and social development
  • Building positive relationships and promoting independence
  • Providing personal care (feeding, washing, toileting, dressing, hoisting, medication administration)
  • Performing health care tasks as per training and clinical guidelines

Candidate Requirements

No prior care experience necessary; a positive attitude, strong relationship-building skills, and life experiences are valued. Full induction and training are provided, and you will be supported to work towards the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Child Care, funded by us.

Working Conditions

Teams work across the week, including weekends and bank holidays, with hours that may include unsociable hours, night shifts, sleep-ins, and on-call duties.
