We are seeking an Early Help Advisor to join our small but busy team at the family hub in Kings Lynn. The role is full‑time (37 hours per week) covering Kings Lynn & West Norfolk. It involves telephone and some face‑to‑face contact with families, working with local partners to support families aged 0‑19 (up to 25 for those with Special Educational Needs).

Key responsibilities

  • Support families and partner organisations to navigate pathways to early help and support through the Family Hub network where targeted statutory intervention is not required.
  • Work directly with the public & partner organisations, receiving verbal, written, and face‑to‑face requests for support, and assess them to determine the most appropriate response.
  • Gather information with internal and external colleagues to provide high‑quality, outcome‑focused support, advice and guidance to partners, children, young people and their families.
  • Liaise with partners to support families in identifying their own natural network of support, promoting use of an Early Help Assessment and Plan (EHAP) where a Team Around the Family has been identified.
  • Ensure children and young people are adequately protected in line with the Local Safeguarding Children Partnership and departmental policy and procedures and relevant legislation.

  • Good knowledge of issues impacting families and pathways of early help support.
  • Experience capturing conversations and sharing information, advice and guidance to meet a family’s needs.
  • Confident using IT packages such as Teams, SharePoint and caseload management systems.
