Are you passionate about supporting people with disabilities to live independently and confidently manage their own care teams? Do you have the HR knowledge and interpersonal skills to guide individuals through the full employee lifecycle?
Were looking for a dedicated Employment Support Advisor to join our dynamic Direct Payment Support Service (DPSS) team. Youll play a vital role in empowering over 1,400 disabled employers to recruit, manage, and retain their own Personal Assistants (PAs), helping them maintain control over their care and daily lives.
What Youll Be Doing
- Providing expert HR advice and guidance to Direct Payment employers.
- Supporting recruitment by co-producing job adverts and descriptions with customers.
- Coaching individuals through interviews, performance management, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
- Offering tailored advice that reflects the diverse needs and abilities of our customers.
- Occasionally attending home visits and job fairs to provide in-person support.
- Working in a hybrid model both from home and our office.
What Were Looking For
- A strong understanding of disability and the challenges faced by disabled individuals.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach to suit different people and situations.
- Solid knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent) preferred, with at least 2 years experience in providing HR advice.
- A genuine passion for inclusion, empowerment, and person-centred support.
