About Us
Norfolk County Council's Growth Hub, hosted within the Economic Development Team, is the go-to resource for Norfolk businesses seeking support to unlock their growth potential. We are looking for professional individuals with experience in business management to join our Business Adviser team. You will provide advice to businesses that fosters growth, sustainability, and success.
The Role
- Partnering with Norfolk businesses to assess growth potential and identify barriers.
- Conducting diagnostics to develop bespoke action plans for business change, growth, and sustainability.
- Providing advice and ongoing support through face-to-face and virtual visits.
- Developing and delivering tailored advice, support, and coaching/mentoring.
- Referring businesses to appropriate support programs locally and nationally.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to promote available support and representing Norfolk County Council at events.
- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring timely follow-ups using CRM systems.
- Staying updated with the latest business trends and best practices.
About You
- An experienced business professional with a background in managing SMEs or significant business functions.
- Knowledgeable in business planning, including strategy, operations, risk management, and finance.
- A confident communicator capable of engaging diverse audiences and translating technical information into plain English.
- Proficient in IT, with experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM systems.
- Familiar with Norfolk's economic landscape, key partners, stakeholders, and support programs.
- Willing and able to travel across Norfolk, including areas not served by public transport.
- Willing to undertake further training to gain SFEDI qualification in Professional Business and Enterprise Support Services.
