This position will be supporting the site Manager for the day-to-day running of the site. The position is a mix of hands-on fieldwork and office-based duties. The role offers the chance to carry out a variety of tasks and engage with people inside and outside the organisation.
The primary responsibility is supporting the Manager with the day-to-day running of the site while developing your own skills for future progression. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone keen to learn and develop. Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site.
- You will ensure that all activities under your control are conducted & comply with current legislation and company policies.
- You will be a key member of the management team deeply involved in identifying & managing continuous improvements, while ensuring maximum efficiency is maintained.
- Working to production targets, timescales and within agreed budgets.
- Providing a quality operation and finished products that meet our customers' demanding expectations.
- You will be challenged with maintaining a very high health and safety standard on site.
- You will be expected to communicate at all levels of the organisation, you'll need to demonstrate a proactive approach and the ability to motivate your team.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Previous Asphalt experience in a supervisory role.
- Good written and verbal communication and organisational skills.
- Good mechanical and practical skills.
- Good team player that leads by example.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated with the ability to enthuse and motivate others.
- Computer literate including SAP, Microsoft Excel & Word.
